True confession time. The JUKI DX7 was my first computerised JUKI sewing machine. And it was a game changer for me. Before I had this machine, I struggled with my stitching. I just put it down to user-error. I thought that sewing was something that I wasn't good at. I kept on trying and thought that it would probably take me years of practice before I could be pleased with my work.

Within twenty minutes of taking the DX7 out of the box, I was sewing beautiful straight perfectly-tensioned seams. I was literally AMAZED at myself. So amazed that I rang the Franklins Shop in Colchester to find out what had happened. How had I become an awesome stitcher in 20 minutes? Laurence Franklin explained in technical terms that I could understand, exactly why the machine had such great stitch quality.

It's NOT the bells and whistles that make a sewing machine great. It's the STITCH QUALITY. Once you've experienced great stitch quality, you'll never settle for anything less.

Of course the DX7 does have loads of great features, and I'm grateful for them every time I turn it on. But the best thing of all is that I can count on great stitch quality every time.
